Thursday Social Tennis (South Austin): 2.5 to 3.5
The Thursday league at Texas School for the Deaf is for social-level players rated 2.5-3.5. After registration closes, we’ll introduce you to your team consisting of 6-8 players. Team captains will schedule you in matches with similar level players each week , but please note that due to last-minute conflicts that may arise, evenly balanced matches may not always be possible and you must be okay playing with 2.5 or 3.5 opponents on some weeks. Following matches at 8:30 each league night, join other players for post-tennis social hour at the league-designated partner restaurant/bar (Hopdoddy on South Congress), where you’ll get 10% off food & drinks, as long as you wear league shirt!
Your league fee includes:
- 8 weeks of team-based doubles match-play starting May 7
- A league shirt and chances to win swag/giveaways
- 10% off food & drinks at Hopdoddy social hour after tennis*
- Invite to end-of-season party 🎉 at a local beer garden in August, with a free drink ticket for RSVPs, light appetizers, and prizes.
Court Usage Rules: we have reserved all 4 tennis courts at TxSfD for the Thursday South Austin league. All reserved courts will be used for matches, unless we don’t get enough registrations for 8 teams, in which case we will have an open side court for hitting around.
Teammate Requests: You may enter up to 2 teammate requests in the text boxes on this page when filling out your information (only mutual requests are guaranteed).

Co-ed social doubles matches for ages 21-39 and levels 2.5 to 3.5
Court Location: Texas School for the Deaf Courts at 300 Elizabeth St, Austin, TX
Thurs League Dates: 6:15-8:30PM on May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25 + rain dates: July 2, 9
3 waves of 45-min matches (6:15, 7:00, 7:45 – choose your preferred time slot above)
Includes invite to end-of-season party at a local beer garden in August, with a free drink ticket for RSVPs, light appetizers, and prizes.
Early-Bird Registration until Apr 1: $89 (discounted)
Regular Registration until Apr 30: $95
You are entitled to a full refund, less transaction fees, if you notify info@austinsocialtennis.com that you decide to cancel BEFORE the regular registration deadline above. No refunds will be allowed after the late registration deadline.
*Players must wear their league shirt during matches and at Hopdoddy to receive a 10% discount off food & drinks
