Tennis League Waiver
I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Austin Social Tennis (also herein referred to as “Capital Area Social Tennis League” or “CASTL”) from any and all claims of any kind which I, my heirs, executors and assigns, may have on account of participating in and/or attending CASTL programs. I further waive and release any and all rights and claims against the CASTL and/or its volunteers and employees for any injury or loss suffered while participating in and/or attending CASTL programs.
In consideration for my participation in the Capital Area Social Tennis League, this will confirm that I have agreed to be filmed and photographed by CASTL in connection with such participation and that CASTL will own any and all rights in such film and photography of me (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Footage”). This will permit the CASTL to proceed with taking such Footage and I now waive, as to CASTL and its successors, assigns and licensees, all personal right and objections to any use to be made of me, my name or my personality in connection with the use of Footage in any media for any and all purposes, including trade, advertising and promotional purposes, in perpetuity and without further compensation. I understand that in proceeding with filming and photography of the Footage, CASTL will do so in full reliance on the foregoing permission.
I understand that CASTL will use my billing email for league communications. This email will be shared with your teammates for the purposes of communicating and scheduling weekly team doubles lineups. I also grant CASTL permission to email me league updates (rainouts, schedule changes, league announcements, standings updates, upcoming leagues, etc.).
No Show Policy: A player that misses a match without prior notice can a damper on social tennis leagues, since 1 missing person can result in an unplayable 2v2 doubles match for all participants. All league participants are required to let their team captain know if they cannot make their scheduled match. League registrations are non-transferable and substitute players who are not registered in the league are not allowed to fill in and cannot play in matches. If a registered player fails to show up in both Week 1 and Week 2 of a season without providing notice to their team captain or a league coordinator, that person’s league registration will be forfeited without refund and his/her spot on the team will be replaced by a person from the wait-list.
