Tuesday Super Social Tennis (UT): Beginners Welcome!
The Tuesday league is for beginner to lower-intermediate players and offers a relaxed, pressure-free environment for those new to tennis. Higher-level tennis players (anyone rated a 3.5 or above) are NOT allowed in the Tuesday league and should consider one of the other league nights instead. After registration closes, we’ll introduce you to your team consisting of 8-10 players. Team captains will schedule you in matches with similar level players each week (there will be 8 doubles slots each week). There will be two levels of matches: one for lower-rated players (2.0-2.8) and another without a rating restriction for higher-rated players. Please note that due to last-minute conflicts that may arise, evenly balanced matches may not always be possible and you must be okay playing with different level opponents on some weeks. Following matches at 8:30 each league night, join other players for post-tennis social hour at the league-designated partner restaurant/bar (Hopdoddy @ The Triangle), where you’ll get 10% off food & drinks, as long as you wear league shirt!

Your league fee includes:

• 8 weeks of team-based doubles match-play starting June 9
• A league shirt and chances to win swag/giveaways
• 10% off food & drinks at Hopdoddy social hour after tennis*
• Invite to end-of-season party 🎉 at a local beer garden, with a free drink ticket for RSVPs, light appetizers, and prizes.

UT Whitaker Parking + Court Usage Rules: The UT Whitaker parking lot requires paid parking. You must either pay using the on-site QR code (fees detailed here) or park across 51st Street (there is free street parking in that neighborhood). We have reserved 8 courts for the Tuesday league. All reserved courts will be used for matches, unless there is fewer than 8 teams. Use of other side courts is not allowed, unless you have reserved a court separately with a UT RecSports membership. UT Whitaker is a private facility, and players may not access the facility outside of league nights or times, unless they have a UT RecSports membership.

Performance Shirt Upgrade: Players who register before the April 30 cutoff may choose to upgrade to a performance sleeveless (male) or tank (female) for a $5 surcharge, as long as that option is not out of stock. Choosing this option may limit your teammate requests, so make sure you read the next section if you want to upgrade your shirt and still request teammates.

Teammate Requests: You may enter up to 2 teammate requests in the text boxes on this page when filling out your information (only mutual requests are guaranteed). For the summer season, players who want to prioritize teammates should coordinate to request the same type of shirt (t-shirt, or sleeveless/tank). Due to the limited number of sleeveless/tank colors, players who select a tank/sleeveless option will be grouped with others who select this option, so teammate requests involving multiple shirt types will likely not be possible.
